True North Custom Publishing is seeking a database specialist to assist in a fast-paced office environment. Candidates must have excellent computer skills, be able to type at least 40 WPM and be well versed in Microsoft Office Products including Access. Bulk mail, postal software, and data entry experience are a definite plus. In addition candidates must possess excellent phone skills and be able to perform a variety of tasks under general supervision. HS diploma or equivalent and 2 to 5 years of data entry experienced required.
Mailing List responsibilities
Convert files from different formats to Excel/Access compatible format.
Process mail lists through postal software for delivery point and NCOA validation.
Correct bad addresses using various tools including Internet research.
Merge/purge or de-dupe lists.
Provide final list with mailing instructions to printer with job.
Prepare postage estimates provided from the printer to clients.
Assist Circulation and Fulfillment Manger with processing questions for clients; dealing directly with clients at times.
Download files from FTP site.
Update and test new versions of AccuZIP software.
Work with outside vendors as necessary.
Assist with maintaining department mail list schedule.
Circulation Strategy Responsibilities
Request and analysis of mail list counts.
Mapping Circulation Territories.
ROI Assistance
Enter information from survey response cards.
Run queries and compile survey reports based on results.
Other Qualifications:
Strong project management skills, the ability to be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and independent while being receptive to guidance and supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
Ability to work independently with little or no instruction.
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.

JOB SUMMARY:
The position of Account Specialist in ARGIs database marketing division is best suited to an individual who is detail oriented, technically savvy, and has a strong knowledge of the database marketing industry. The Account Specialist is responsible for the maintenance of accounts within the Insight division including day to day client support, engagement, relationship and satisfaction for ARGI.
INTERACTS WITH:
Clients and end users at all organizational levels
Cross functional teams and various levels of management and at ARGI
ARGI partners and suppliers
REPORTS TO:
Senior Director of Account Management
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Domain expert in the workings of the product / service assigned to Account Specialist
Understand the clients business and marketing goals
Daily front facing interaction with the customer
Address customer inquiries as they relate to product functionality
Identification of new customer projects / opportunities
Organize, plan, support, and prioritize multiple projects for assigned client base
Track activities to ensure timely completion of tasks relating to client solution
Liaison between the customer and ARGI production services
Supports up-sell and cross-sell opportunities with Account Director
Assist in client support activities such as providing estimates, resolving issues, determining priorities, and providing pre and post production support
Participates in Management and Client meetings as required
Provides feedback regarding service failures or customer concerns
Works continually towards self-development to stay current on customer service, product and industry knowledge
Provide training and support on assigned product, service, or solution
Coordinate all processing effort with the appropriate teams
Translate, interpret, and document client requirements to technical teams
Perform Quality Assurance on all projects and tasks
Responds to customer inquiries and problem solving in a professional and effective fashion
Preliminary background specifications of new customer projects for Product Management
Coordinates, develops and documents procedures
Carries out other such duties as may be assigned or requested

REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3 5 years related experience
Knowledge and understanding of industry leading database marketing software toolsets (i.e. Alterian, Aprimo, Unica, Brio, Cognos, E-Piphany, etc
)
Knowledge and experience with mail and e-mail in regards to the development and execution of programs. This includes purchase behavior, customer cycles, and customer characteristics.
Knowledge of direct response/database marketing, customer relationship management, customer data management, customer lifetime value, consumer behavior and motivation.
