Outbound Sales Manager

The Arizona Republic, Arizona’s premier multimedia source for news and information, has an immediate opening for an Outbound Sales Manager to oversee the call center within our Circulation department. As an Outbound Sales Manager you are responsible for leading the sales efforts of the Outbound Sales/Retention team. On a day to day basis you will be driving revenue through coaching, mentoring, and training a team of 20-25 Representatives.

Responsibilities include:
• Creation, implementation, and management of programs and procedures to increase market share
• Increase subscriber retention opportunities through the direct management of customer touch points and communication
• Oversee management of the Outbound Center to enrich the subscriber experience
• Develop, coach, train and mentor staff
• Working closely with other departments to develop programs and partnerships to maximize retention

Qualified candidates will have the ability to think conceptually and analytically. Ideal candidates will have a commanding knowledge of the market and readership base, and a proven talent to transform market knowledge into action. Successful management of an outbound sales or collection call center is key. Proficiency in MS Office applications is a must. A Bachelor's degree with an additional 3-5 years management for supervisory experience in sales, marketing, customer service, or collections is preferred. Proven success of strong team development and impeccable communication skills is critical.
