The Elkhart Truth , located in northern Indiana has an immediate opening for a creative, sales-minded individual to lead all subscriber acquisition and retention sales efforts through campaign management. The Circulation Sales Manager will work directly with the Audience Development Director and Circulation team to increase the effectiveness of all subscriber acquisition efforts. Candidate must a self starter and motivated by achieving department and personal goals.
Responsibilities of the Circulation Sales Manager include but are not limited to:
• Implement strategies and partnerships to drive product recognition, increase readership and elevate subscription sales.
• Generate and implement customer based initiatives to improve subscriber retention efforts.
• Design, implement and track cost and order production goals for all circulation sales activities.
Required qualifications include: a Bachelors degree in marketing or equivalent experience, demonstrated successes in a sales or marketing environment, excellent organizational and communication skills, digital and database marketing applications, supervision experience and strong PC skills.

The Free Press is looking for a Sales Leader to manage, lead, coach, and support the sales team in Kinston.
This individual is responsible for developing and leading a successful, highly-motivated sales organization. This individual works closely with each sales associate to increase sales and market share through one-on-one and group coaching and training. 1. Develop and maintain a high-functioning, highly-motivated sales team
2. Provide clear communication to sales associates with regard to all new programs and strategies for the property
3. Develop a strategic sales plan designed to exceed the company’s revenue targets
4. Establish a month-by-month revenue analysis for each FSR including active account review, revenue by account, and anticipated revenue shortfalls
5. Develop sales strategies to overcome any anticipated revenue shortfalls
6. Perform effective, timely and through introductions of any new products or programs
7. Recruit, hire and train successful sales professionals
8. Provide new and remedial training to sales associates to ensure their success
9. Establish KPI’s for each sales associate; monitor performance to achievement of KPI’s; coach and assist as needed to achieve KPI’s
10. Spend a minimum of 50% of their time in the field coaching the sales staff, including a minimum of three hours per week with each FSR
11. Meet a minimum of once per week with entire sales team to provide any updates, report on progress toward overall team goal achievement, perform new product rollouts, train on new or existing products, etc.
12. Meet with each FSR and ARS on a weekly basis to discuss progress toward monthly goal achievement, steps necessary to close any shortfalls, to review that weeks’ coaching session and address any necessary follow-up, etc.
13. Meet with each FSR and ARS on a monthly basis to review previous month’s results vs. KPI’s, review the previous month’s commission payout; address goals, etc. for current month and beyond
14. Develop and deliver annual performance appraisal to each sales associates
15. Effectively utilizes analytical data (e.g. Scarborough data, SharePoint, etc.) to analyze sales, develop sales strategies, identify growth opportunities, and develop solutions to problems

Consumer Sales and Service seeks a Sales Specialist for the Visalia, CA area to manage the day-to-day coordination and execution of local sales programs as directed by the Group Sales Manager. This position is directly responsible for coordination of assigned sales tactics within home delivery, single copy, NIE and local market analysis. Responsible for effective collaboration and communication between the individual newspaper(s) and the Hub and Group sales team. Where applicable individual supervises single copy and NIE sales staff. Responsible for developing and monitoring expense budgets and achievement of local volume goals. Additional duties include development and coordination of local marketing and promotional materials to support sales programs.
Assist in the development of standard and non-traditional single copy sales programs. Effectively execute local single copy initiatives as directed by the Hub or Group Sales Manager. Recommend single copy draw adjustments based upon local news opportunities that drive sales. Work closely with Hub and Group Market Development to utilize single copy buyer profiles and readership data to increase single copy sales. Work with News to identify content-of-interest to drive single copy sales. Execute operational aspects of sales promotions ensuring effective use of point of sale materials, through adequate supply and distribution of product, strong market presence. Maintain dealer relationships, including growing retail outlets. Assist in billing and aging resolutions. Perform routine single copy audits to ensure proper placement for maximum sale.
Develop, coordinate and manage local NIE programs. Strategize ways to decrease cost and increase resource-efficiencies in NIE. Coordinate NIE fundraising efforts at the local level. Compile and input NIE information to facilitate the distribution of newspapers, educational curriculum and other support materials as needed for the Newspaper in Education program. Communicate with teachers. Monitor aging and billing of NIE accounts.
Supervise, motivate, and train personnel in all areas of their job responsibilities.
Job Requirements
Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
College degree preferred.
Two years College required.
Business, sales or marketing background desirable.
An understanding of developing sales relationships, and project coordination, required. Understanding of ABC guidelines is required. Local market knowledge is a must.
Analytical ability is essential.
Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Good with detail, and proven ability to follow-through on deadline.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
Individual must be highly proactive, able to lead projects, bringing them to successful implementation and completion. Excellent written communication and grammar skills.
