A group of community newspapers in the Myrtle Beach, S.C. area is looking for a circulation director to help build and retain readership. This fulltime position pays $30k to $45k depending on qualifications, PLUS an attractive bonus plan.
Job responsibilities, in order of importance, are:
1. Audience development through subscriptions, racks, internet, and other points of sale.
2. Supervision of an aggressive retention program.
3. Supervision of the distribution of four weekly newspapers, a 36,000 TMC, and two specialty publications.

The Times-Tribune, a 6,000-circulation, award-winning daily publication, seeks a circulation manager to lead its staff. As circulation manager, you'll also be over our weekly TMC product with an 18,700 distribution.
As our next manager, you'll be leading a veteran, hard-working staff. You must lead by example, set benchmarks, and build our coverage in a competitive market. Knowledge of circulation procedures and contracts is a must. It would be helpful for our next manager to have knowledge of postal service rules and regulations. You will also need to be comfortable with using computers and software, including Microsoft Office products and other industry-specific programs.
A clean driving record, a reliable vehicle for work are also necessary. Some experience in circulation will be important.
Corbin, Ky., is best known as the original home of Col. Sanders’ Kentucky Fried Chicken, but that's only a sliver of what the Tri-County area has to offer. With eight parks and numerous fairs and festivals within a 20-mile range, there's no shortage of outdoor activities to keep you busy. The Panama City News Herald has openings for two District Manager positions. The District Manager oversees independent distributors in the delivery of newspapers to subscribers within a defined geographical area (Panama City Beach and the downtown Panama City area). Individuals will handle route management aspects such as audits, analysis, and contract negotiations. The perfect candidates will have a focus on customer service. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior newspaper experience in circulation as well as a management background is preferred. Must be able to evaluate current and prospective Independent Contractors and provide feedback and a course of action: Basic computer skills (Excel. Word) a must. Must own and operate a motor vehicle. Must have valid Florida Drivers License, proof of car insurance, and must successfully complete a background check. Must have ability to read and understand a road map.

Crescent City is a three day a week paid and audited publication with a circulation of approximately 6,000. Brookings, OR. is a twice a week publication also of approximately 6,000.
We seek someone who can grow readership based upon quality order acquisitions, using service and product quality as the foundation. Strong promotional background preferred accompanied by a willingness to be active within the communities.
