The Daily Record, Wooster, Ohio, is an award-winning seven-day morning newspaper operation that publishes a 22,000 circulation daily coupled with 3 strong direct mailed Shoppers, a weekly and a number of other niche products.
The Daily Record has an excellent management team and we are looking for an excellent circulation director. The successful candidate must lead by example, set standards and raise the bar on the performance of this staff. He or she must know the operation from the ground up and be able to hire, evaluate and train. An excellent knowledge and previous experience is a must.
The DR has been successful in maintaining circulation in spite of newspaper declines nationally. This newspaper is in a very nice community in north central Ohio and is an excellent community in which to raise a family. We have excellent facilities, offices and an exceptional press facility where we print 4 dailies, nearly 30 weeklies and host of other products.
We are looking for just the right person to manage this department and help us grow this business.

CIRCULATION MANAGER
The Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, a Wick Communication Co. publication, is seeking a hands-on Circulation Manager to lead our team and manage all aspects of our growing circulation department. Our publications include a thrice-weekly AM newspaper and weekly shopper, the Valley Sun, located in the fastest growing region of the state and in the recreation heart of Southcentral Alaska, the Matanuska-Susitna (Mat-Su) Borough; the Anchorage Press, the state’s largest city’s alternative free weekly newspaper; and the Arctic Warrior, a free weekly newspaper produced for Fort Richardson Army base and Elmendorf Air Force base in Anchorage.
Good leadership, marketing and management skills are required, along with a strong commitment to growing our paid and free circulation base. Experience and thorough knowledge of circulation including home delivery, single copy and budgeting are necessary for this position. You will be responsible for increasing market penetration and meeting circulation volume and revenue goals.

The Logansport Pharos-Tribune, a seven-day per week 10,000 circulation newspaper that services a five-county area in North Central Indiana, is seeking a high-energy, experienced, circulation professional who can lead our circulation team.
Candidates must possess strong, organizational and communication skills along with the leadership needed to guide a staff through these challenging times. The Circulation Manager will lead a staff of seven employees which includes four full time positions and three part-time positions. The Circulation Manager is responsible for the preparation and implementation of sales and distribution strategies to achieve circulation growth at the Logansport Pharos-Tribune. This candidate will direct the preparation and execution of circulation marketing plans, promotional plans and operating patterns and budgets. They will establish and implement policies, programs and procedures resulting in improved productivity, cost-effective departmental operations, and maintenance of marketing data base. They will be responsible of developing and coordinating new sales programs to increase and retain home delivery circulation, single copy sales and NIE programs.
The Circulation Manager is an essential member of a senior management team including a productive culture based in teamwork between all departments. This person will need to be a proven leader with exceptional leadership, organizational and management skills.

This position is responsible for achieving single copy volumes through the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies, as well as working with operational managers to ensure effective draw regulation practices and a strong distribution system as it affects sales. Oversee effective collections practices to ensure that profitability levels are maintained for the organization. The North Group Regional Retail Manager’s main office will be based at the News-Journal in Mansfield, Ohio.
